Eugene Nku NGENDE Fading Away Like Stars in the Morning... October 24, 2017
"Fading away like stars in the morning...only remembered for what they had done!"
Indeed, a life's chapter is closed.
My very first encounter with daddy was in Bamenda, in 1979. I was just a young teenager, barely two years old in the Lord. That evening, he was the guest preacher in the Full Gospel Mission Evangelistic Centre, then located at the Commercial Avenue, opposite the Main Market.
Daddy Atogho was actually one of the earliest partners of Dr. Fomum, as he was known at that time in the Presbyterian circles. It was an outstanding move at that time for a Presbyterian of his social rank to become "A Born Again."
Later on, when I came to Yaounde for the first time, a very special welcome was reserved for me at the Atogho's... Mama Atogho made me understand that I had a home in that family, and even let me know my Mum was like a mother to her. And that is how I got introduced to Aatsa and Barbara. Some years later, when I was mentored by Sister Grace Epamba, I grew to deeply respect and admire Daddy Atogho.
I had a very personal encounter with Daddy when I returned to Yaounde to teach in ENAM - as we drove together in his Mercedes car, throughout that day for his various appointments, he had one preoccupation: he was coaching me on how I can distinguish myself for the Gospel.
I have penned down very briefly - in my own experience - what Daddy Atogho was to me, and the many who were blessed to know him.
Daddy Atogho's homegoing is actually the transit of a father we will not forget.
Hortensia Ngang Fohtung Lover-Birds October 24, 2017

It has not been easy for me to find time and drop in something in the memory of Daddy.
It's usually not easy to choose what to write about someone who spent his last energy learning and contributing to promote God's work.
Permit me begin with the description of your Dad by eighty-eight-year-old Dr.Linus Nji Afong in Douala:
"Oh sorry. The one man I knew in Foncha's office in Buea, who never found files too many to handle. His day was elastic, length determined by the issues that came up."

My observation about Daddy Atogho, apart from his assiduity:
Permit me call him David. I want to write about his unfading love for Monica. Both of them were my students in Broadcast Ethics last year, preparing to broadcast the Gospel on Hope TV. In broadcasting, people remain boys and girls. So, it was always pleasant to receive David, dressed in Jeans, walking Monica from their home to the Damase Centre on Saturday mornings. Those lover-birds came to my room to choose a hat for Monica. He told me with precision what will suit his wife, and added, "Since I married Monica, she has never shown interest in jewelry, and I find her really beautiful without them."
That lover boy has closed his eyes on Monica.  Unless the Holy Spirit steps in, the bond will be very hard to break.
Ashia, Mummy

With lots of love,
Hortensia Ngang Fohtung

Pastor David Ejoh Ngwo Believers' Union - Tribute to our Patron October 24, 2017
Pa Atogho David.
    Has gone to glory
The Ngwo Believers remember the wonderful moments shared together when he was still here with us. As one of the pioneer believers in Ngwo land, he fasted, prayed and preached for the kingdom of God to be advanced in the hearts of Ngwo people. He supported us,  accompanied us in our  mission to Ngwo, gave us meaningful advice. His passing unto glory leaves a vacuum amongst us.
But one thing comforts us, that as a child of God and a committed follower of Christ, we know where he has gone to and we hope to meet him there someday, even though we mourn at this moment.

We commit ourslves to uphold the Christian biblical values he instilled in us, running the race, looking unto Jesus and strictly following the rules to win the crown price.

    Rest In Peace
 Ngwo Believers Union.
 Ejoh David.
Robert Akonji Love You Daddy, your leadership inspired me October 24, 2017

Daddy, as I used to call you, “In God alone there is rest for my soul. From Him comes my safety. He alone is my rock, my safety, my stronghold so that I stand unshaken.” PS 62, 1-2.

Some how, we are grateful that you are at perpetual rest from the hard and fruitful labor for the benefit of the family and the entire community. Your endeavors in educating, sharing and laboring while   always smiling, is testimony of who you were. Though it is now the past, your footprints are there. Surely we will miss you like others.

God is merciful. We know you knew it. You were not the first to come and will not be the last to go. May we say you made a tenacious life.

Your kindness was boundless. You made sure you had a kind word for everybody and everything had to be just right. You proved it over the years of your life facing multitudes of obstacles and never gave-up.

If there is a price for a model Father and brother in law, you would surely have earned it but like it is said; Good things don’t last forever” so it is with you on earth. But surely you are having everlasting life with the Angels.

Leah, Robert Jr. and McFibert  were expecting You and Mama back this year, so we could all enjoy their basketball games again, as we did last year, but there is a reason why that did not happen.

Do us a favor. Extend our love and greetings to our Sister Eli, Uncle Tom, Edwin, and all the departed family members. No one may “bandage a hand without a wound”. Though there is medical bandage in quantum that could not spare you for a moment.  May your death give us the courage to always forgive one another with love. We will do what is right and trust in God.

MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD GRANT YOU ETERNAL LIFE AND PEACE.
